Chiropractic Fellowship for Advanced Training in Integrated Spine and Musculoskeletal Care
The University Hospitals Connor Whole Health Doctor of Chiropractic Fellowship Program aims to become the nation’s premier chiropractic training program by offering a professional and educational pathway to advanced, integrated, non-pharmacologic neuromusculoskeletal care.
UH DCFP blends evidence-based didactics with clinical and professional skills through patient care within an academic medical center, interprofessional education, and scholarship. The program prepares Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) fellows for advanced clinical practice as spine- and musculoskeletal-focused members of a multidisciplinary team.
Program Details
Fellows in the UH Doctor of Chiropractic Fellowship Program participate in a wide range of clinical opportunities. Fellows are directly involved in patient care under the supervision of an attending chiropractor, gradually gaining autonomy as they advance through the program. In addition to hands-on chiropractic care, fellows observe and learn from multiple disciplines across the continuum of care—including ambulatory settings and the operating room—with a particular emphasis on specialties that commonly treat neuromusculoskeletal conditions.
The program also provides robust academic opportunities to strengthen fellows’ skills in evidence-based practice and critical thinking. Fellows participate in a variety of scholarly activities such as asynchronous learning modules, journal clubs, grand rounds, didactic lectures, and other structured training experiences designed to deepen clinical knowledge and support professional development.
