Requirements

To obtain a completion certificate from the PGY2 program, the following must be completed by the end of your residency year:

• Greater than 80% of objectives achieved for residency (ACHR)
  • No more than 5% of all objective evaluations can be needs improvement
• Satisfactory completion of all assigned rotations
• Complete thesis substitute research project
• Complete publishable manuscript of research project
• Formal presentation at an appropriate conference
• Four formal presentations
• Facilitate one cost savings initiative
• Prepare or revise at least one drug class review, monograph, or guideline
• Complete one medication use evaluation
• Complete one process improvement project
• Facilitate at least one system pharmacy leadership meeting
• Complete Master’s degree from UNC
• Complete all required staffing shifts (minimum of 30 weekend shifts over 12 months), one major and one minor required holiday shifts
• Complete a minimum 14 pharmacy administrator on call weeks over a 12 month period
