Why UH Genetics? During my interviews with UH genetics, I enjoyed getting to know the genetics faculty and their diverse interests. I really liked that the program allows residents to explore their diverse interests within genetics and provided support to help reach their career goals, and appreciated the heavy clinical emphasis that the program has. Living in Cleveland was also a big draw, given all that the city has to offer!
Career Interests: I'm really interested in the combination of technology and medicine, specifically as it relates to estimating risk for patients based on their genetic profile. I hope to apply my skills working with big data to to help generate individualized risk scores for patients with common adult diseases like diabetes or hypertension based on their genetic profile!
Personal Interests: In my free time, I love to build websites and apps. I also enjoy working out at the gym, exploring Cleveland's Metroparks, and playing my viola.
