Connie Bowler became the Assistant Dean of Faculty at Chamberlain University in March 2025. In this role, Connie ensures the operation of assigned courses to organizational and accreditation standards and supports students and faculty in the achievement of outcomes. Connie was previously program director at Lakeland Community College since 2019 where she ensured the operation of the Associate Degree Nursing Program upholds the standards of the Ohio Board of Nursing and the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing and collaborates with healthcare providers and other educational institutions to build relationships and facilitate education connections. They create opportunities for students to be successful and engage in meaningful work. In addition to being the program director, Connie is also a visiting professor at Chamberlain University. Connie began her nursing career as a staff nurse and over time has held roles such as a clinical and nursing education instructor, school nurse, director of a fitness center, program director and adjunct faculty at Kent State University, administrator, and nursing consultant.
Connie holds a Doctorate Nursing Practice from CWRU, an MSN from University of Missouri, School Nurse Certification Program from Cleveland State University, a BSN from Ursuline College and ADN from Kent State University.
Connie belongs to several professional organizations such as Ohio Council of Associate Degree Nurses, Sigma Theta Tau, Ohio League for Nursing; is Vice President for Ohio Council of Associate Degree Nurses and has belonged to many professional committees such as Year of the Nurse, Leadership Academy Committee, ACEN Standards Committee, and Inter-professional Education Committee. Connie has volunteered for Lake County Medworks Dental Clinic, COVID testing and vaccine clinics, and back to school bash to name a few. She has been honored with the Distinguished Nursing Alumni from Kent State University and Nursing Leadership Award from Sigma Theta Tau, Iota Psi Chapter.
