What Is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a treatment used to address not only pain, but a wide variety of disease conditions through the stimulation of certain body points using hair-thin, sterile, disposable needles.

When acupuncture needles stimulate the body, various changes happen, including increased blood flow, regulation of the nervous system, decreased pain sensitivity and improved emotional well-being (via chemicals in the brain).

Group Acupuncture Appointments

Group acupuncture is a model of delivery through which individuals receive acupuncture treatments in a group shared space. Group acupuncture has emerged as an alternative to traditional individual acupuncture sessions, allowing more people greater access to treatment at a reduced cost. Group acupuncture can be done in chairs or recliners. Acupuncture points on the head and ears, along with points on the arms and legs (below elbows and knees), are utilized to address pain or other symptoms throughout the body. Group acupuncture is a great option for individuals who do not have insurance coverage to be able to receive care.
