Behavioral Health Hubs

At University Hospitals’ Behavioral Health Hubs, patients have access to the following services:

Psychiatry

Our Behavioral Health Hubs provide expanded access to psychiatric providers, making psychiatric treatment more accessible to people throughout Northeast Ohio. We also offer enhanced connections between psychiatric providers and primary care providers to ensure access to treatment within 7 days.

Counseling

Patients seen at UH Behavioral Health Hubs have access to counseling programs for both general and specific care, including both individual and group options.

Virtual Care

We offer virtual care at each of our hubs to supplement in-person care and improve access.

Substance Use Disorder Treatment

Our Behavioral Health Hubs apply a chronic disease management philosophy (similar to the treatment approach for heart failure or diabetes) to the treatment of substance use disorders. We collaboration with individuals and primary care to predict relapse before it happens.

Community Mental Health

We utilize a case management approach that moves beyond “one-off” solutions in order to build relationships with patients who struggle with systemic inequities and barriers that interfere with their capability to engage in care. Focused on individuals enrolled in Medicaid, our case managers meet their patients in their homes to help them understand treatment recommendations, take them to their primary care appointments, and provide other types of assistance as needed.
