On Thursday, October 30, 2025, University Hospitals hosted its annual Research & Innovation Day at the Wolstein Research Building Auditorium. The event brought together researchers, trainees, and collaborators from across UH and partner institutions to showcase groundbreaking work and celebrate the spirit of scientific discovery.
Daniel Simon, MD, President, Academic & External Affairs and Chief Scientific Officer, opened the program with inspiring remarks on the vital role of research in advancing patient care and innovation. The event was moderated by Daniel Spratt, MD, Vincent K. Smith Chair in Radiation Oncology, who guided attendees through an engaging lineup of presentations and discussions.
The day featured a poster competition highlighting exceptional research by students, residents, fellows, and early-career investigators. Top-scoring abstracts were recognized for excellence, with the overall winner invited to deliver an oral presentation.
Research & Innovation Day reflects UH’s commitment to accelerating discovery, fostering collaboration, and supporting the next generation of clinician-scientists transforming the future of medicine.
