World-Class Care on and off the Rink
Through our partnership with the Cleveland Monsters, University Hospitals is committed to providing world-class care to the Cleveland Monsters and hockey players of all ages and levels. Our multidisciplinary team of medical specialists helps the Monsters compete at the highest level throughout the season, while building a strong foundation for the organization’s long-term health.
Like our collaboration with the Cleveland Browns, University Hospitals supports the Cleveland Monsters in all areas of sports medicine care and training – from performance enhancement and injury prevention to acute injury treatment and rehabilitation. Our goal is to continue to provide the highest level of care for the players, while setting the standard in the American Hockey League for comprehensive care on game day and every moment in between.
Comprehensive Care and Resources for Young Athletes
The sports medicine experts at UH Drusinsky Sports Medicine Institute and UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s provide outstanding medical care for young athletes.
Because their muscles, bones, ligaments and joints are still developing, the anatomy of youth athletes is considerably different from that of adults. Children and adolescents need care tailored to their age, growth stage and performance level. When pediatric sports injuries happen, accurate diagnosis and treatment are crucial to prevent long-term growth or developmental effects.
