Pain Diagnosis & Treatment at UH Samaritan

Your initial appointment will include a physical exam, medical history and radiological studies, if necessary, to determine the cause of the pain.

Next, an individualized treatment plan is created that may include medications, injections and electrical stimulation, among other interventions and therapies. Specific procedures, which are performed on Mondays, include:

• Epidural steroid injections
• Facet joint injections
• Myoneural injection (with or without Botox)
• Nucleoplasty
• Radiofrequency ablation
• Selective nerve root block
