Child Care Center at UH Parma Medical Center

For more than 40 years, University Hospitals Parma Medical Center has offered affordable, high-quality child care for the children of its employees and physicians. Now, the Child Care Center is proud to offer services to the public as well.

Our state-licensed center is Gold rated by the State of Ohio’s Step Up To Quality program and cares for children 6 weeks to 5 years old. For additional support, a program for school-age children up to age 14 is available during summer and holiday breaks.

Step Up rated programs demonstrate higher levels of quality, with dedication to school readiness skills, continuous improvement and family engagement. Our teachers have higher education levels than required, with additional training annually.

Child Care Center Features

The Child Care Center is conveniently located in UH Parma Medical Center’s Health Education Center at 7300 State Road, a former Parma City School building. Our facility is designed for a full spectrum of school activities, including:

• Auditorium and where preschool graduation events are held
• Gymnasium for activities during inclement weather
• Hot meals from the cafeteria
• Outdoor and indoor playground

Children are organized into separate classes for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, with a creative curriculum that focuses on developing natural curiosity and a love of learning in each student.

Discounts are available for UH employees. Breakfasts, lunches and snacks – as well as diapers for the younger children – are included in tuition cost.

Hours of Operation

The Child Care Center is open Monday – Friday from 6:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
