Molina Marketplace Termination: Frequently Asked Questions

Most UH locations were out-of-network with the Molina Marketplace Plan, causing confusion for patients and staff and creating issues for continuity of care.

The termination is effective January 1, 2025.

No, the termination only applied to the Molina Marketplace plan product. University Hospitals will continue as an in-network provider for Molina Medicaid and Molina Medicare plans.

UH will continue to participate as an in-network provider with the following Marketplace plans for 2025:

• Aetna CVS Health
• Ambetter from Buckeye Health Plan
• Caresource Marketplace
• Medical Mutual – Northern Ohio HMO

Although UH is not in a position to advise or recommend specific plans or benefits, if you wish to maintain access to your current UH physician and University Hospitals, you should consider choosing a plan that provides full in-network access to UH. Visit the Marketplace website at www.healthcare.gov for more information.
