After one visit with Dr. Ammori, I have placed my hope, faith and my life in his hands and the hands of his team. He included my wife in on the initial consult which I found to be why he went to medical school. He is kind, caring, compassionate, has advanced intelligence and spoke to me and with me, not at me. There just aren't enough words to say about this incredible human being.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Ammori, Seidman Cancer Center Westlake, and the outstanding care I have received for my cancer treatment. Dr. Ammori performed my ***. This was a meeting to discuss if it was time to do my last available surgery. *** This was an unwelcome surprise to me, but Dr. Ammori explained all the reasons and answered all my questions. He is an incredibly caring individual, as well as a brilliant surgeon. He invited me to contact again at any time. UH is blessed to have him, as am I.

This was a telephone virtual visit. Provider called at the appointed time, explained information and recommendations in an easily understood manner, allowed me to ask questions and provided information to me with kindness and concern. I completely trust this provider's expertise and his ability to help me make the best decisions regarding care for my condition.

Dr Ammori and his staff were very professional and let me know that he was with other patients before me and offered me a snack and drink while waiting. I will gladly recommend Dr. Ammori and his staff.

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
