Dr. Simpson made me feel seen and heard during this visit. She honed in on the specifics of my situation and my body, and was able to give specific & technical responses about why she'd make certain surgical incisions, again with consideration of my specific body and what would deliver the best outcome. During this appointment, I knew that I wanted her to be my surgeon! It is no small thing to trust someone to cut into one's body, but Dr. Simpson demonstrated her expertise as well as her caring, human side during our appointment. I'm really grateful she will perform my surgery and know I'm in exceptionally capable and caring hands with her.

I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH about my Breast Cancer Medical Team. ***, Dr. Simpson and *** are the BEST doctors and humans I have ever met in the medical field. They are VERY knowledgeable, compassionate, and willing to listen to my concerns and questions regarding any research I have done. The don't treat me like "protocol", they treat me as *** by getting to know me, my personality and even my family! I recently lost both of my parents and at my appointments since their deaths ***, EACH of them started my appointments with showing concern and empathy to me. I pray that UH DOES NOT LOSE them as doctors, it would be a disservice to their patients. BEYOND BLESSED for all 3 of them and their team being on my Breast Cancer journey.

At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
