My provider squeezed me in due to what appeared to be the beginning of a post op infection (my left cheek swelled up and was getting sinus and eye pressure). He fit me in with an hour and a half of my messaging with his office. I truly appreciated him accommodating me and getting me in so quickly.

Dr. Rangarajan is one of the most comfortable doctors I've ever experienced. He ALWAYS clearly explains the latest test results and goals of any recommended procedures. He regularly communicates with my oncologist and infectious disease doctor. I feel confident in the team of doctors I'm working with and know that none of them will give up on me and my current health issues.

The care I have received at this office from the doctor and staff is exceptional. They go out of their way to take of my concerns and needs. I have already suggested to family and friends that if they ever have need for his specialized care that he is the one they should see. Since I am going to need follow up care, I am sincerely glad that the doctor and his staff will be there for me.

My experience with the doctor and the staff at the Westlake office has been one of the best I have experienced. They made me feel comfortable, and let me know what was happening and gave me information about the choices I had. They involved me in the choices I need to make and took the time to give me the results of my surgery and what follow ups would be needed. They also explained all the things that I needed to do to continue healing. I have told everyone that I am so glad that the doctor was chosen to do my surgery and also how much I appreciate being sent to UH at Westlake.

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
