About
Avkash Patel, MD, MS, is a vascular surgeon and endovascular specialist at University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute. He is skilled in performing the full range of open and minimally invasive surgical procedures for patients with aortic aneurysm, aortic dissection, carotid artery disease, hemodialysis access issues, mesenteric artery disease, peripheral artery disease and renal artery disease.
Dr. Patel earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. He also holds a Master of Science from Drexel University’s Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences & Professional Studies. Dr. Patel completed a residency in integrated vascular surgery at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center/Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
Dr. Patel is an active member of several professional medical organizations, including the American College of Surgeons, Society of Vascular Surgery, Society of Clinical Vascular Surgery and Midwestern Vascular Surgery Society. He has co-authored multiple research publications in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented at national and international medical conferences on vascular-related treatment techniques.

We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
