About
Courtney L. McAvinew, CNP, is a certified nurse practitioner with University Hospitals Ear, Nose & Throat Institute, where she assesses, diagnoses and manages ear, nose and throat concerns. Special areas of interest include sinusitis, chronic rhinitis, acute and chronic smell disorders and epistaxis (nosebleeds).
McAvinew earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Akron and a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University’s nurse practitioner program.
She came to UH in 2012 as a registered nurse in the emergency and urgent care settings. She later worked as an urgent care certified nurse practitioner before joining UH ENT Institute.
As an ENT/rhinology care provider, McAvinew is dedicated to providing safe and effective health care across the life span for both acute and chronic nasal and sinus care. She provides education to patients to help them understand their disease process and how to manage it.
