This was the first time I had seen her. I requested an appointment with a *** specialist as my original surgeon has retired and I am coming up on my 5 year post treatment. I wanted to find out what the ongoing follow-up plan is and have a name & face in place that I can contact in case of a recurrence. She was so reassuring and made me feel extremely comfortable asking for this. Spent as much time as needed to answer my questions and deal with concerns and she was aware of my full history of *** cancer.

This was the second time seeing Maggie and I am just as happy with the experience as I was the first time. The same goes for all the staff members I interacted with. I have anxiety in medical settings and was crying most of my time there and not one person made me feel badly, spoke to me kindly, gave me time to compose myself and genuinely asked if I was ok/anything they could do. Thank you to all I spoke to that day!

Maggie gave me all of her attention and care. She fully understood and validated my concerns, while not pressuring me to make any immediate decisions. I felt no pressure, only support, understanding and good ideas to work around my concerns. Then she encouraged me to reach out as further questions come up. I could not ask for better.

Maggie was professional and kind. Though she was unable to share mamm results with me because the process had been changed, she had reviewed my chart and the past and present X-rays before seeing me. *** She knew I was worried and when mamm results were available she called me to let me know they were ok and to answer any questions. She is professional, knowledgeable and kind.

I had a rough experience in getting to this appointment and was at a very high anxious level. Both *** in reception and Maggie were amazing in helping me. I am truly grateful for how they talked with me and reassured me. I appreciate how after I basically had a panic attack on the phone with *** and yelled at her she took it in stride (and accepted my apology) all the while getting me an appointment that very afternoon. Maggie said she was going to make sure she wrote a new order for my follow up and they both made sure I had that appointment scheduled before I left. Months of stress and anxiety that ended because both *** and Maggie provided the utmost care for me. Thank you *** and Maggie!!

*** I had a team of Drs and nurses. Everyone was so thoughtful and considerate. The thought of a breast biopsy is very scary and the team was there to help navigate me thought it. There was a fellow up the next day and I was able to reach the nursing staff when I called back. My team was awesome.

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes.
