Dr. Mahajan is an amazing caring doctor. She went out of her way to assure I could get the procedure I needed at the same time as my ***. She saw how anxious and distraught I was went above and beyond to make sure my *** was not delayed and my *** surgery could be completed at the same time. I am so grateful for her kindness and care for not only my physical well being but my mental well being. She and *** went out of their way to help me and LISTEN to me. Her practice is an asset to your hospital. I feel heard and taken care if when I visit her practice. I have had a hard time dealing with my cancer diagnosis but Dr. Mahajan has helped me so much by her caring about the whole patient.

Days later was trying to get an appointment with Dr. Mahajan about a serious issue with my health. I couldn't get it on the same day I was asked to call UH scheduling department to make an appointment. That evening nurse *** called to tell me what the Doctor suggested I do. The next day called the office again to leave a message for doctor for same issue that did not go away Nurse *** called. She was very nice comforting I then explained to her my problem She send a email to the Doctor who was not in that office that day to address my case. Dr. Mahajan called right away recommended some tests as well as asked me to come to office to check me out the health problem I had was serious. After seeing her she suggested a outpatient procedure in hospital. Dr. Mahajan was in my exam room desperately emailing the hospital to get me admitted soon. I really admire her persistent diligent work. In my opinion, she is an Excellent Caring Doctor.

This comment relates to the reception clerks. There are 3 clerks that continue their personal conversation as you are being checked in. After being checked in, with the front window still opened, sitting in the waiting area you can hear the conversation continue about their children and other things that are not job related. When scheduling a follow up at the appointment window the clerk talks to you through the closed window. I have has several appointments with Dr Mahajan and have received exceptional care from both the Dr and her nurse, but this is the behavior of the reception clerks every visit.
