About
Anjan Gupta, MD, FACC, FSCAI, FACP, is an interventional cardiologist and the Heisler-Tsai Master Clinician in Cardiology at University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute. He directs cardiac catheterization services at University Hospitals Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio, and is also a clinical associate professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
Dr. Gupta earned his medical degree from the University of Calcutta Medical College in India. His postdoctoral training included an internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Calcutta Medical College, followed by a residency in internal medicine at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He then completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the University of Wisconsin Medical School and Sinai Samaritan Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Dr. Gupta is board certified in both cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He is also a diplomate of the American Society of Echocardiography and American Board of Vascular Medicine. He has received Top Doctor and Best Physician awards for clinical excellence and is recognized as a Best Regional Doctor in Interventional Cardiology by Castle Connolly.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Gupta has authored more than 140 peer-reviewed articles and abstracts. He has led numerous research studies evaluating techniques, devices and medications that aim to improve cardiovascular patient care and outcomes. He has presented at over 60 regional and national conferences on topics related to his field and is a content reviewer for distinguished publications including Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, British Medical Journal, International Journal of Clinical Cardiology, Journal of Patient Centered Research and Vessel Plus.
Dr. Gupta is a fellow in national professional organizations including the American College of Physicians (ACP), American College of Cardiology (ACC), American Society of Angiology (ASA) and Society of Coronary Angiography and Intervention (SCAI).

Experience was good, but visit was 1 1/2 minutes long and I didn't remember to discuss an upcoming concern.Dr very likeable and knowledgeable, but hurried.
Dr Gupta is one of the most excellent, caring doctors I know. He and his staff are 100% on the ball !! Once I check in, less than 5 minute a nurse takes me back to exam room, runs test, takes all my vitals and goes over all my medications and the doctor comes in as soon as she leaves. He discusses with me any test I've had and explains what they may/may-not of found. Looks at blood work from another doctor and we discuss and he doesn't miss a beat !! Excellent visits !!
