Patient Experience Reviews
Dr. K. Akbar and his staff is amazing. He listens to his patients and really cares. I hope he sticks around until my girls are grown.
Always a pleasant visit with this establishment
Dr Akbar always listens to my concerns and gives good feedback to any questions and concerns that I have.
I was recommended to this provider for my newborn baby and he's been nothing but great with the few visits I've had with him.
Dr. Akbar and all the staff are wonderful!
We were seen as soon as we checked in and we were in and out with in 20 minutes. Dr.Akbar always spends a nice amount of time with each patient in order to make sure he explains everything in detail so that he is sure we know what's going on. He is extremely personable and has excellent bedside manner. My kids both love coming to see Dr.Akbar. He makes us all feel welcome and makes sure we leave well informed after every visit whether it be routine or a sick visit. I highly recommend Dr.Akbar to anyone who is in need of a pediatrician.
Dr Akbar is the best doctor and the only one I believe I can fully trust with my son 5 stars to him always
Dr. Akbar is one of the best providers out there. He takes care of all three of my children, they don't need a lot but when we need him he is there and fits us in. He has my full trust and I thank him for his dedication to his career. He even called me to explain the outcome of this visit since I could not attend.

Dr Akbar is the best pediatrician we have ever had the pleasure of working with. He truly cares, he listens, he explains well, he is knowledgeable, very experienced, and compassionate. If more pediatricians were like him, our children would be much healthier, and parents would be more equipped to take care of their kids. Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
