Patient Experience Reviews
He is a great doctor and listener.
Great Dr and staff. Glad my sister in law recomended him.
Very understanding and listened to concers and used commen since medicine
Dr. Abass was very professional and thorough, it was a very good visit, answered one question about recommendations as being in middle, only because I do not like to give recommendations about health or Medd, but this doctor was very impressive
Great doctor!
I love Dr. Abbass. He does a great job and responds to messages in MyChart right away. ***

Dr. Abbass saved me years ago from having part of my stomach removed. He is the best!
Great Dr. Love his staff!
Dr. Abass is an EXCELLENT provider. I am happy to have FINALLY found a doctor in the UH system that actually listens, understands and genuinely seems to enjoy what he does for a living! A top notch professional.
I have had excellent experiences with all of my care providers!
Always excellent care and followup.
Doctor explained previous healthcare that he provided but I had forgotten about. I appreciated the his input.
This provider and all of his staff are the most friendly, helpful and kind I have ever been to.
The BEST provider ever. Wish he was a family physician.

We cannot THANK the staff enough. I want to give everyone a big High Five. I want to Hug my doctor. We wish we could find a Primary Care Doctor with office staff as kind, understanding, caring and down to earth. I wish I could come to this office for anything from a cold to a chat. 120% will pass them along. ***
Very kind and efficent
Dr Abbass is a great GI doctor and will be doing a needed colonoscopy next month. He is very respectful
Dr Abbass is wonderful. Been seeing him for around 15-16. Years. Great bedside manners. Always explains everything. Very professional and personable.
Very good at their job
I wish that I could find a Primary as good, caring and concerned, as Dr. Abbass. The last time I seen the person that took over as my Primary, Laurie Bruening, I am yet to hear anything about my blood work or anything that we discussed. That office did not seem to be concerned with my needs. The receptionist was very nice. The nurse that checked me in seemed short tempered and rude. I thought I was going to get some answers to my weight gain, tiredness and rashes from the Primary, just to get no message in my Chart, with her notes not stating all that I had come in for. I seemed to be more of a bother than anything.PLEASE find more caring and understanding people like Dr. Abbass. No matter how small the concern he is always willing to listen. I never seem like a "bother" when I am taking to anyone in the office.
Very good job explaining
Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
