Innovative Research Focused on Improving Treatment and Quality of Life

Leading-edge research is a key component of the Division of Pediatric Nephrology at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital.

Along with Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, we are investigating the causes, interactions and treatment options related to a variety of pediatric kidney problems.

Our current collaboratives include:

• SCOPE (The Standardized Care to Improve Outcomes in Pediatric End-stage Renal Disease) - they are part of the Children's Hospital Association
• NAPRTCS (North American Pediatric Renal Trials and Collaborative Studies) -  Transplant, Dialysis, and CKD patients
• IROC (Improving Renal Outcomes Collaborative) - transplant collaborative
• NAKI (Nephrotoxin Induced Acute Kidney Injury) Cohort - pilot center with CHSPS (Children's Hospitals Solutions for Patient Safety)
